Step 1. Remove old versions
ℹ️ This installation consists of three steps. You are now at step 1. Scroll down to continue to steps 2 and 3.
Before you begin installing your new Office suite, it's important to first remove all previous versions of Microsoft Office , Microsoft 365 , and OneNote from your computer. This will prevent problems during the installation.
Follow these steps:
- Open the control panel on your PC
- Select ' Uninstall or change a program '
- In the list, look for these versions: Microsoft Office , Microsoft 365 and OneNote
- Click on each of these and choose delete
Use the Office Uninstall Tool to be sure
After manually removing everything, we recommend also using Microsoft's official Office Uninstall Tool. This tool will completely remove any remaining files and settings from your computer.

Download Office 2024:
-> Click here to start the download
After clicking the link, the download will start automatically. You'll now find a file in your Downloads folder called: " Office_2024_EN_64Bits "
Double-click this file to start the installation. Click the "Install" button. The installation file will be extracted, and the official Microsoft installation will begin. The installation is in English. After installation, Office will automatically switch to the correct language for your PC.
Enter license code
After installation, you can search for and open an Office application such as Word , PowerPoint , or Excel using the Windows search bar . Click " File " in the top left corner, then " Account " on the left. Now click "Change Product Key." Then enter the product key you received by email.

Activate the software online
When the Activation Wizard appears, select: ' I want to activate the software over the internet ' and click Next .

How do I change the language to Dutch?
By default, Office uses the language from your Windows settings. However, sometimes you need to change the language manually.
Open Word and follow these steps:
- Click on File
- Go to Option
- Click on Language
- Click on Add a Language and choose Dutch (Nederlands)
- Close and restart all Office programs
Why do I see a different version of Office after installation?
