Welcome to the Office 2021 Home & Business for Mac instruction page

This page explains step-by-step how to install and activate Office 2021 on your Mac. There's no direct download—you link the license through your Microsoft account and can then download Office from your account.

Step 1 – Go to setup.office.com

Open the website https://setup.office.com in your browser.

Step 2 – Sign in with your Microsoft account

Sign in with an existing Microsoft account or create one for free.
Please note: You will need this account to activate your license and download Office.

Step 3 – Enter your product code

Enter the license code you received from us. Then click "Next."

Step 4 – Select language and region

Select your preferred language and region and confirm.

Step 5 – Download Office for Mac

After activating your license, you'll see a download button for Office 2021 for Mac in your Microsoft account. Download and open the installation file (.pkg).

Step 6 – Install Office

Follow the steps in the installer. Once finished, you can open Office apps like Word or Excel via your Launchpad or Finder.

Step 7 – Activate Office

When you open an Office program, you'll be prompted to sign in again with your Microsoft account. After signing in, Office is automatically activated.
